This is a rare and beautiful American Liberty Sword (Silver) by Marto of Toledo, Spain.  This sword was created in memory of the 9/11 Twin Towers disaster and terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.  Inspired by principal historic events and the American Spirit that have influenced the development of the United States of America and inspired the world, Marto has created this exclusive and genuine sword which gathers the symbols that define history and the principles of our great country.  From the silver plated twin eagle hand guard and the Lady Liberty pommel, to the golden depictions in its blade, the American Sword honors the indomitable spirit of the American people's love of freedom.  It reminds us to protect our liberties and the Republic for future generations.  United we stand to make Justice and defend the soul of American Liberty.  The blade is crafted from world famous Toledo 420 stainless steel and is mirror polished and fully tempered to 48-53 Rockwell hardness.  This amazing piece weighs 8 pounds!
The pommel of the American Liberty Sword is a clear, resin globe, with a scale reproduction of the Statue of Liberty encased within, held aloft by an eagle with wings spread.  There are minor scuffs on the globe, hard to capture in the photo.  The handgrip is wrapped in sculpted elements of the American Flag with a flurry of stars and stripes.
The 24K gold plated Zamak handgrip is an alloy with a base metal of zinc and alloying elements of aluminum, magnesium and copper.
The quillons of the guard are fashioned with two silver plated  and 24K Gold American Eagles joined together by a ribbon with the words, "E Pluribus Unum" (Out of Many, One) inscribed.  The center piece of the guard features a medallion showing the "Scales of Justice" in relief.  The tempered Toledo 420 stainless steel blade is decorated with 24K gold etchings depicting numerous historical American symbols including the Liberty Bell and American Indian and Cowboy tributes.  It is mirror polished and fully tempered to 48 - 53 Rockwell hardness.
Overall length:  124 cms., 49 inches.  Blade is 38" in length.  Handle measures 9" in length.  Hilt is 8" in width, 3 1/2" in height.
